Books by Dr. Childs
Dr. Childs is also an author whose writing encourages resilience, purpose, representation, and the courage to pursue big dreams. Her books connect her journey through medicine with messages that inspire both children and adults.
Lemons, Lemonade, and the Lemonade Stand: My Bittersweet Journey to Medical School chronicles her journey toward becoming a physician and the challenges, setbacks, faith, and perseverance that shaped her path.
Cece’s Sour and Sweet Journey to Medical School brings those themes to young readers through the story of Cece, a girl who learns that life's sour moments do not have to stop her from pursuing her sweet dreams. The book encourages children to embrace resilience, persistence, and a growth mindset while seeing themselves represented in STEM and medicine.
